Childhood Immunisation Program

The Immunise Australia Program aims to increase national immunisation rates by funding free vaccination programs, administering the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register and communicating information about immunisation to the general public and health professionals.

The National Immunisation Program changed on 1st July 2013 to include new vaccines for children at 12 and 18 months of age.

Cold Chain Management

The cold chain is the system of transporting and storing vaccines within the temperature range of +2°C to +8°C from the place of manufacture to the point of administration.  Maintenance of the cold chain is essential for maintaining vaccine potency and, in turn, vaccine effectiveness.

Healthy Kids Check

Guide to Resources and Services (April 2014 Edition)

This publication has been researched and developed by GP partners Australia to assist general practice staff to locate Adelaide services and where further assessment is identified as necessary to address any of the many components of the pre-school Healthy Kids Check (HKC).

Relevant resources and websites are listed to assist in obtaining information regarding the various components recommended to complete the HKC.

Whilst many of the services listed are mainly located in the Adelaide metropolitan region, the information presented in the publication is likely to be useful to practices outside this area as well.
